‘Why did People Write in the Malay-Speaking World?’

Writing is profound evidence of human intellectual evolution. The Malay-Speaking World itself emerged into the world civilization with its writing culture paradigm. This Visiting Professor will explore why the Malays emphasize writing culture colored by conquest, trade, religious transformation, and intellectual turmoil in its historical trajectory.

We invite you to discover together the captivating narrative of the written word in the Malay-speaking world that has always contributed to our understanding of humanity and its eternal quest for knowledge.
