The title Damalung Blueprint is the main creation space of a sound experiment group from Semarang City called Tridhatu. The group, which was formed in 2018, reinterprets archaeological, philological, anthropological, and performing arts data on Mount Merbabu. The research data was transcribed into a music album with the same title and performed in 8 locations following the 8 cardinal directions with several artists.

Damalung is the ancient name of Mount Merbabu. A blueprint is a detailed plan, program of action, program plan, and formulated design. Damalung is a sign that this creative project is set in the knowledge of Mount Merbabu, and Blueprint is a commitment to the constancy of creating work. Mount Merbabu in its time was a place where the tradition of script writing or scriptorium took place, known as Naskah Merapi-Merbabu.

In this project, Merbabu is re-read, the changes in society over four centuries provide an important note, Merbabu is not the same as it was four hundred years ago. There is a “distance” of knowledge caused by cultural changes, the movement of cultural heritage objects from insitu locations to the changing needs of domestic spaces.

Reinforcing this, Damalung Blueprint also visited the Indonesian Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Arts Undip on September 27, 2023. Damalung Blueprint’s visit to the Indonesian Literature Study Program was to submit one of the results of the revitalization and actualization of the Merbabu manuscript. Warmly welcomed by Drs. Moh. Muzakka, M.Hum. and Dr. Ken Widyatwati, S.S., M.Hum., Damalung Blueprint seemed to confirm the Indonesian Literature Study Program of FIB Undip as the main symbolic space in the placement of the manuscript. Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, M.Hum., as the Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program of FIB Undip admitted that he was proud of the young people’s efforts which hopefully will be continued by future generations.
