Undip Indonesian Literature Alumnus Elected as Rector of UPGRIS

Dr. Sri Suciati, M.Hum., an alumnus of Indonesian Literature, Diponegoro University, batch 1983 was appointed as rector of PGRI Semarang University (UPGRIS) for the period 2022-2026. The inauguration ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the UPGRIS Central Building.

Previously, Dr. Sri Suciati, M. Hum. served as Deputy Chancellor I UPGRIS. Now he replaces Dr. Muhdi, S.H., M. Hum. whose term of office has expired as rector. After the inauguration, Dr. Sri Suciati, M. Hum. expressed that he was ready to carry out the vision and mission of UPGRIS.

Currently, Dr. Sri Suciati, M. Hum. became the only female rector in Semarang. Inauguration of Dr. Sri Suciati, M. Hum. this adds to the list of female rectors in Indonesia. As is known, that until now, the number of female rectors in Indonesia is still small.

The presence of Dr. Sri Suciati M.Hum., an alumnus of Indonesian Literature Undip, as the female rector has become evidence of the increasing contribution of women in the field of education.
