Efforts to commemorate independence day on August 17, 2022, are not only carried out in the form of ceremonies, the Indonesian Literature S1 study program also holds art performances in the theater room of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Diponegoro University. Lecturers and students are here to strengthen intimacy at the moment of independence. The event took place from 10.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB and was opened with a musical performance by Communion of Culture, a FIB student-based band.

Entering the welcoming session, Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, M. Hum. the head of the Indonesian Literature study program expressed his happiness because he could meet students directly and provide space for them to show their talents. In addition, through this event, it is hoped that students will be more enthusiastic about welcoming offline lectures starting on August 22, 2022. Students are allowed to read poetry and sing. Two students read their poems very expressively. Furthermore, the lecturers of Indonesian Literature also contributed songs followed by dances from students. Several songs were sung, namely songs from Benjamin Sueb, Tetty Kadi, Vina Panduwinata, to Didi Kempot.

In the impression session by students, they stated that they were pleased with the activity. In addition to fostering solidarity on Independence Day, the event was considered a warm welcome from the lecturers before starting offline lectures. (MW)
