Semarang — The Undergraduate Program of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, held the 2024 Curriculum Workshop at the Main Conference Room of FIB Undip. The event, attended by lecturers, academic associations, stakeholders, alumni, and students, served as a strategic forum to formulate a new curriculum that is more relevant to scientific developments and the needs of the job market.
The workshop was opened by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, S.S., M.Hum., followed by presentations from various speakers. Dr. Pujiharto (UGM) highlighted the importance of a curriculum that is adaptive to technological developments, including process-based assessment. From the stakeholder perspective, Eva Ardiana (UPGRIS) emphasized the implementation of OBE and the need for concrete outputs from every course.
Representing alumni, Aditya Armitrianto stressed the promising opportunities for literature graduates in the film industry and the importance of strengthening practical writing skills. Meanwhile, student representatives encouraged improvements in academic publication and collaborative activities.
The specialization group discussions resulted in several updates, including course adjustments, the introduction of new materials, and the repositioning of internships and final assignments. These changes aim to enhance graduates’ competencies in language, literature, philology, and cultural studies.
The event concluded with the moderator’s final summary. This workshop marks an important step for the Indonesian Literature Study Program in preparing a more responsive 2024 curriculum that aligns with current needs. Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, S.S., M.Hum., as the Head of the Indonesian Literature Program at FIB Undip, fully supports and hopes that this initiative will improve the quality of teaching within the program.
