The Green Festival and Literacy Forum were integral parts of the Creative Economy & Tourism Village Festival of Semarang Regency, held on 6–7 December 2025 at Bukit Cinta, Rawa Pening, Banyubiru. The event was designed as a meeting space for communities, creative economy practitioners, families, and festival visitors to celebrate sustainable lifestyles while strengthening literacy grounded in local culture and environmental awareness. Embracing the spirit of a zero-waste festival, the Green Festival emphasized the importance of concrete actions to protect the environment through local products, community participation, and ecological consciousness.

One of the festival’s highlight programs was the Literacy Forum, which took place on 6 December 2025 from 3:30 to 6:00 PM (WIB). Open to all festival visitors, the forum featured child-friendly activities such as the Gerobak Baca (Mobile Reading Cart) and an interactive storytelling session of the folklore “Baru Klinting.” During the discussion session, Muhammad Hamdan Mukafi, S.S., M.A., a lecturer of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Diponegoro, served as both the initiator and a contributor of creative perspectives. He highlighted the contextual myth of Baru Klinting as a medium for cultural and ecological reflection, as well as local wisdom that remains relevant to contemporary challenges.
The implementation of the event involved cross-sector collaboration among various parties, including Komunitas Terasara, the Creative Economy Office of Semarang Regency, and Ruang Berkembang, with strong support from student volunteers of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, FIB UNDIP. This synergy demonstrated that literacy, creativity, and environmental awareness can go hand in hand within an inclusive celebratory space. Through this series of activities, the Creative Economy & Tourism Village Festival of Semarang Regency is expected to serve not only as a form of entertainment, but also as a platform for education and collaboration that fosters collective awareness of culture and sustainability.
Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, S.S., M.Hum., Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, FIB UNDIP, expressed his full support for the Rembulan Serasi Festival and appreciated the active participation and creativity of the academic community of Indonesian Literature at UNDIP. He hopes that this initiative will inspire other lecturers and students to become more actively involved in various programs within the Indonesian Literature Study Program as well as in other community service activities.
